2015 at Taylor: Carter had an outstanding freshman campaign, playing in 49 games and starting in 46…Contributed at catcher, first base, the designated player position and as an outfielder when needed…Totaled 66 hits and batted to a .429 average to rank No. 7 in the Crossroads League, hitting primarily from the fifth spot in the batting order…Had a .458 on-base percentage and led TU in slugging percentage at .701, the sixth best mark in the league…Drove in a team-high 51 RBI (fifth most in the Crossroads League, No. 44 in the nation) while striking out just four times all season…Carter’s statistics were particularly impressive at home on Gudakunst Field, helping Taylor to a 14-4 record by batting .644 with six home runs, 22 RBI, a slugging percentage of 1.156, on-base percentage of .660 and 15 runs scored…Tied for the lead on the Taylor squad with nine home runs for the year which ranked third in the league…Hit a go-ahead three-run homer in the top of the seventh inning against No. 18 Indiana Wesleyan to help lift Taylor to a 9-7 victory on the road…Also led Taylor with 15 doubles on the season…Came around to score 29 runs…Had a ten-game hitting streak that coincided with TU’s ten game winning streak from April 14 to April 24…Had two games with five RBI (Goshen – 4/10, Bethel – 4/24) and two multi-home run games (Webber International – 1/26, Goshen – 4/10)…Produced two or more hits in 21 contests…Hit a walk-off single against Bethel on April 3 in a 5-4 win…Owned a .972 fielding percentage in 180 chances…Crossroads League Player of the Week (March 30 – April 5)…An All-Crossroads League performer and National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Great Lakes Region First Team selection...NAIA Second-Team All-American.
