INDIANAPOLIS – The Crossroads League announced its softball players of the week on Monday afternoon, highlighting Taylor's Hannah Robbins as its Pitcher of the Week.
Robbins posted a 0.78 earned-run average and a 0.89 WHIP over nine innings of work in the circle for Taylor, tossing a complete game in TU's 6-1 win at Cumberland and turning in three scoreless frames in relief against Martin Methodist. The junior held opponents to a .172 batting average for the week and picked up six strikeouts, while allowing only one run.
The Crossroads League Pitcher-of-the-Week award is the first of the season for the Taylor softball team and the fifth time that Robbins has received the honor during her three years with the Trojans.
Robbins and TU (5-5) will play a four-game series at Georgetown on Friday and Saturday, with the 2016 home opener set for March 11 against Lourdes at 4:00 pm.
