INDIANAPOLIS – Following a career-low round of 71 Taylor's Raquel Helton has been named the Crossroads League Golfer of the Week, the league office announced.
Helton drained a 50-foot par putt on the final hole during the final round of the Huntington Invitational on Saturday to cap a round of two-under-par 71. The round was the first sub-par round in Taylor women's golf history and propelled the Trojans to their first-ever tournament title.
Helton's two-round total of 156 (84-71) was enough to earn the Greenwood, Indiana native her first collegiate victory.
Helton and the Trojans are back in action this weekend at the Rumble at the Rock held at Rock Hollow Golf Club in Peru, Indiana on Friday and Saturday.
