Women’s Golf Vaults to No. 14 in NAIA Top-25 Poll
UPLAND, Ind. – The NAIA released its first regular season Women's Golf Top-25 Poll on Friday, with Taylor moving up four spots from the preseason rankings following a strong fall showing.
The Trojans collected 278 points and were ranked No. 14 in the new rankings, moving up from No. 18 with a 111-point jump from the preseason poll.
Taylor closed its fall season well, taking third at the Crossroads League Fall Preview on October 13 and 14 after winning the 11-team field at the Battle at Stonehenge on September 29 and 30.
Through its four fall tournaments, TU posted a head-to-head mark of 17-8 and an 18-hole team scoring average of 313.0 with an average team finish of 3.7. The Trojans currently boast three players with a season scoring average in the 70s, with Eleanor Schuitema (75.6), Shayne Lim (77.4) and Margarita Garrido (79.4) leading the way.
The next NAIA Top-25 Poll is set to be announced on Friday, October 31.
