Pinwar Turns in Top Time in 1,500-meters at Kip Janvrin Open
INDIANOLA, Iowa – Malarie Pinwar competed at the Kip Janvrin Open hosted by Simpson College on Friday and turned in a season-best time in the 1,500-meters.
Pinwar finished eighth with a time of 4:35.45 in the event, which is the 15th fastest time in the NAIA. The stellar time was the junior's career-best mark and positioned her for an appearance at the NAIA National Championships next month.
Noel Bass took the track as well for the Trojans, competing in the 5,000-meters and finishing 20th with a time of 17:37.45, which is the 25th fastest time in the NAIA this year.
Pinwar also ran the 5,000-meters at the Drake Relays a day prior and finished fifth with a time of 17:30.24.
The outdoor track and field season continues on Thursday, April 30th at the Crossroads League Championships hosted by Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana.
