WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Taylor men's golf team battled to a runner-up finish at the 2026 Crossroads League Championships, narrowly missing out on the program's seventh league title in the past 10 years.
The Trojans picked up play Tuesday morning with the resumption of the opening round and fell out of the lead by finishing the first 18 holes five shots back of No. 14 Marian.
TU rallied back over the second round, shooting three strokes better than the Knights but still fell two shots shy of the title.
Taylor posted back-to-back rounds of 294 to finish at 588 and just short of MU's winning tally of 586. TU edged No. 20 Indiana Wesleyan by seven shots for second place.
Also finishing runner-up on the individual leaderboard was Will Schuitema, who shot a blistering round of 68 on Tuesday to end at three-under par for the tournament and four shots back of first place.
Tanner Conklin and Aaron Fulda turned in identical scores of 74 and 75 to tie for eighth place at five-over par for the tournament.
Taylor will now wait to learn if it will receive an at-large bid to the 2026 NAIA National Championships in Silvis, Illinois on May 12-15. The at-large bids will be announced at 4:00 pm (ET) on Friday, May 1.
