2014 – 2015 at Taylor: Ramirez played No. 2 singles for the Trojans throughout the fall season, posting a 9-9 record overall, 4-4 in Crossroads League regular season dual matches…Went 4-2 in the ITA Tournament, advancing all the way to the final of the consolation draw with four consecutive wins before falling 6-0, 6-2 to Jason Denton of Marian…Played No. 1 doubles along with Carlos Guarin, as the duo went 7-11 overall and 4-4 in Crossroads League dual matches…Guarin and Ramirez made it all the way to the quarterfinals of the ITA before being defeated 8-4 by the top-seeded pair of Daniel Rueda and Thommy Johanssen from Northwestern Ohio, who went on to win the tournament…The ITA run by Guarin and Ramirez was highlighted by two wins, one of which came against Crossroads opponents Jose Marval and Daniel Sanchez of Grace in a tiebreaker 9-8 (7-5).
2013 – 2014 at Taylor: As a freshman, Ramirez did not begin playing for the Trojans until the spring season…Went 1-1 at No. 1 singles and 1-2 at No. 2 singles while teaming up with Carlos Guarin at No. 1 doubles to finish 1-4…Named the Crossroads League Player of the Week (April 14-20) after cruising past Indiana University East's Ty Butler without dropping a game, utilizing a strong forehand to control the majority of the rallies…Ramirez also played No. 1 doubles with junior Carlos Guarin and came away with an 8-3 win in the match with Indiana University East.
Prep: Ramirez is from Ibarra, Ecuador and attended Pensionado Atahualpa…Played at the Ibarra Tennis Club for coach Alejandro Corrizo.
