2013 at Taylor: Made contributions as both a batter and pitcher for Taylor as a freshman, playing in 33 games and starting in 31…Hit .229 with six doubles and three home runs…Owned a .410 slugging percentage and .286 on-base percentage…Totaled 17 RBI with one sacrifice fly and 19 hits…Came around to score six runs for the Taylor cause on the year…Had four RBI with two doubles in four at-bats in a 7-3 win over Warner University on March 25, also earning the win from the circle in the contest…Made 22 appearances as a pitcher, starting 13, and went 6-7 while also earning one save…Had eight complete games and finished with a 3.42 ERA…Notched 42 strikeouts in 104.1 innings pitched, including a career-high eight K’s against Rose-Hulman on March 15.
Prep: Miller is from Bloomington, Indiana and attended Edgewood High School…Lettered four years in softball…An All-Conference player three years and All-Area selection for four years…Member of four Sectional Championship teams…Edgewood won the Regional Championship in three season’s during Miller’s time and claimed one Semi-State title before finishing runner-up in the 3A State Championship…Set Edgewood records for RBI and home runs for both a career and single season…Also played club softball with Indy Dreams.
