Klebesadel Named Crossroads League Pitcher of the Week

HARTFORD CITY, Ind. – Hannah Klebesadel of Taylor softball has been awarded Crossroads League Pitcher of the Week honors, as announced by the league office Monday afternoon.
The senior picked up two more wins in two starts on the week from the circle for receiving votes Taylor. In twelve innings pitched the righty conceded just three earned runs to post a 1.75 ERA, striking out eleven batters and holding opponent bats to an average of just .182.
Klebesadel pitched a complete game on Senior Day at Gudakunst Field against Mount Vernon Nazarene, amassing a season-high nine strikeouts to dictate play. The Cougars had just four hits off Klebesadel and were held scoreless through the first five innings as the Trojans were able to establish a 7-0 lead. The performance was Klebesadel's tenth complete game of the season as Taylor won by a final score of 7-1. In game one on the road against Bethel, Klebesadel reached a milestone with her 50th career win. She allowed just two solo home runs in the contest in five innings pitched, holding the Pilots to two runs on four hits to go along with two more strikeouts. Klebesadel ranks No. 5 in the Crossroads League with 12 wins and has lost just two decisions.
Klebesadel represents the sixth Crossroads League weekly award for receiving votes Taylor. Alex Lovelace has won Player of the Week honors twice, Hannah Robbins has won Pitcher of the Week twice and freshman Davis Carter took home one Player of the Week honor as well.
Taylor (32-13, 26-7 CL) concludes its regular season on Monday in game two at Marian before beginning the Crossroads League Tournament, which is set to kick-off on Wednesday, April 29 in Indianapolis.
