Women's Track & Field Competes at Greyhound Classic
INDIANAPOLIS – The Taylor women's track and field team turned in some good performances at the University of Indianapolis Greyhound Classic on Saturday.
Allison Steinbeck paced a trio of Trojans in the 5000 meter run, winning the race with a time of 18:43.94 while Hannah Schroder finished fifth at 19:13.66 and Anissa Richards ran in ninth at 19:13.66.
Junior Princess Sakeuh was the top sprints performer for the Trojans, finishing fourth in the 60 meter with a time of 8.05. Courtney Thompson added a ninth place finish in the 200 meter dash with a time of 27.29.
Sophomore Anna Meyer hit the NAIA B Stand in the 3000 meter run, finishing in fifth place with a time of 10:33.46.
The Trojans will continue their indoor season next Saturday at the Wildcat Invitational at Indiana Wesleyan.
