Halterman Honored as the Crossroads League Track Athlete-of-the-Week

JACKSON, Mich. – Jaynie Halterman collected her second career Crossroads League Track Athlete-of-the-Week award on Monday afternoon after a stellar performance over the weekend.
Halterman won the 5,000-meters at the We Fly Challenge hosted by Ball State in Muncie Indiana. The sophomore crossed the finish line in an astounding 16:06.08, which is the fastest time in the NAIA, more than 30 seconds quicker than the second fastest mark.
The CL Track Athlete-of-the-Week is the second for Halterman in her two years at TU and is the second honor of the year collected by the Taylor women's Track and Field team.
TU Athletics now boasts 58 Crossroads League, WHAC, or MSFA Player-of-the-Week honors throughout the 2025-2026 athletic season.
Taylor track and field compete next on Friday, April 17th, at the Little State Championships hosted by Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana.
