TU Women Remain Ranked in Top-15
NEW ORLEANS – In the latest US Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) computer rankings, the Taylor women's indoor track and field team has dropped from No. 12 to the No. 14 team in the nation, as announced Wednesday afternoon.
The national team computer rankings are determined by the USTFCCCA computers using event rankings for the top marks of the 2022 indoor campaign.
The Trojans accumulated 84.60 points in the national ratings index. Points are determined by individual performances so far this season.
Taylor earned 13 different top-30 ratings over 10 events. The Trojans' 4x800-meter relay team highlights TU's rankings as it will enter the NAIA National Championships with the No. 1 seed in the nation. Abbey Brennan is ranked third in the mile, while Brennan and Brooke Studnicki own the 10th and 11th-best times in the 800-meters. Taylor distance medley relay squad holds a top-five ranking and Giovanna Domene is ranked at No. 15 in the 1,000-meters.
The Trojans will return to the track for the NAIA Indoor National Championships on March 3-5 in Brookings, South Dakota.
