TU Women Finish Third at CL Indoor Championships

MARION, Ind. – Jaynie Halterman highlighted a strong second day for the Taylor women's track and field team at the 2026 Crossroads League Championships, as the sophomore secured TU's lone win of the meet and helped the Trojans climb up a spot to take third in the final team standings.
Halterman joined with Noel Bass and Sam Patterson to give Taylor a trio of top-five finishes in the 3,000-meters and 19 points from the event. Halterman led the pack and won the race with a CL Championships meet record time of 9:30.75, easily surpassing the NAIA-A standard once again and turning in the second-best time in the NAIA this season.
The mile was also a fruitful event for the Trojans, resulting in 15 more points as Malarie Pinwar, Marlina Howell and Catey Campbell took second, fifth and sixth. Pinwar led the way, hitting the NAIA-B standard with a time of 5:06.03.
Other top performances for the Purple and Gray included D'Arjha Davis taking fourth in the 200-meters with a time of 25.91 and Addie Draper ending fifth in the 800-meters with a time of 2:19.36.
Taylor ended the league meet in third place in the team standings with 85.50 points, trailing only Marian and Indiana Wesleyan at the two-day meet.
TU will now turn its focus toward the NAIA Indoor National Championships, which are set for March 5-7 in Gainesville, Florida.
