Women’s Track and Field Collects Maximum Six CSC Academic All-District Honors

UPLAND, Ind. – The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced its Academic All-District award winners for the Female Track and Field and Cross Country athletes and Taylor had a maximum six students received the distinction.
Jaynie Halterman, Kiana Siefert, Noel Bass, Addie Draper, Malarie Pinwar, and Emersyn Funk were the honorees for TU, after each excelled in the classroom and in competition.
Halterman earned a perfect 4.00 GPA throughout her philosophy studies. was the NAIA Individual Champion in Cross Country and the Indoor 5,000-meters. The sensational sophomore has accumulated a plethora of awards throughout a pair of athletic years at Taylor while maintaining a perfect GPA to illustrate her incredible abilities inside the classroom and out.
Siefert earned a phenomenal 3.80 GPA throughout her management and marketing classes. The senior received CSC Academic All-District and CSC Academic All-American honors a year ago. Siefert excelled on the track, competing at the NAIA National Championships in two events during both the indoor and outdoor seasons. Siefert earned NAIA All-American honors in the long jump during the outdoor season while being named the CL Female Athlete of the meet for a second-consecutive year.
Bass earned a pristine 3.97 GPA in her elementary education studies. Bass is a three-time CSC Academic All-District honoree and two-time CSC First-Team Academic All-American. The standout senior was a NAIA All-American in cross country this season and competed at NAIA Nationals in both indoor and outdoor track to cap a fantastic career at TU.
Draper earned an impeccable 3.99 GPA throughout her sustainable development classes. The junior competed in both cross country and track, where she qualified for NAIA Nationals in the 800-meters during the outdoor season. She also collected NAIA All-American honors as part of the distance medley relay team during the indoor track and field season.
Funk earned an impressive 3.98 GPA while she completed her computer science-digital media degree. The senior was top seven runner for the Trojans, who won the NAIA National Championship in the fall. Funk also ran at the NAIA National Championships for both the indoor and outdoor track and field seasons.
Pinwar earned a terrific 3.76 GPA in her exercise science courseload. The junior was an NAIA All-American in the 5,000-meters during the outdoor season and was a key cog in the cross country teams NAIA National Championship run, finishing 51st as the fifth finisher for TU. Pinwar also collect NAIA All-American recognition during the indoor track and filed season as a member of the distance medley relay team, while finishing just off the podium in the mile in ninth.
The quality of the nominees for TU was highlighted by being the only NAIA school to advance all six recipients to the CSC Academic All-American ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced July 14, 2026.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the track and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Taylor has now piled up an astounding 61 CSC Academic All-District selections throughout the 2025-26 year.
