Trojans Edged by Anderson in Narrow 4-3 Result
UPLAND, Ind. – The Taylor University women's tennis team fell 4-3 to visiting Anderson at the Taylor Tennis Complex on Friday, capping the fall portion of the schedule for the Trojans.
TU (3-2) gained early momentum after it claimed the doubles point, posting a pair of 6-1 victories recorded by Sarah Scott-Maddy Fuqua at No. 1 doubles and Anna Stone-Ellie Schaufelberger in the No. 2 doubles spot.
Then, Scott and Fuqua each cruised to individual victories in the top two singles matches, but the visiting Ravens pulled out close decisions in the final four singles matches.
